Senior Manager Infrastructure Services
The Senior Manager Infrastructure Services will manage our client’s infrastructure, network, corporate servers, storage and patching platforms. This role will lead a team of internal IT professionals, managing technology assets across a few data centers/cloud platforms for over 20 sites.
Responsibilities
• Take a lead role in managing networks, storage, server & operating systems, patching services and other management platforms
• Develop and manage annual project programs for Infrastructure and Platform maintenance and improvements
• Coordinate Infrastructure efforts on Operations Projects, transitioning new solutions into a steady state
• Technology refreshes supporting platform and network virtualization optimizing data centre operations
• Assist the department senior leaders with the change management of new procedures, policies, and standards for an efficient execution of new infrastructure of hardware & software technologies
• Contribute to adopting strategies relating to industry trends and emerging Infrastructure related technologies
• Recommend a short- and long-term plans to ensure infrastructure availability, capacity and IT service continuity that meets existing and future requirements.
• Effectively manage a team, setting objectives, coaching, performance and personal development
• Provide guidance with policies, procedures and standards
Qualifications
• 6 years of experience managing and/or directing infrastructure operations
• 6 years of progressively responsible experience working with multi-platform systems and related software
• 4-5 years management or supervisory experience within a customer-focused IT operations environment
• Experience in strategic technology planning, execution and policy development
• Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, network infrastructure, MS Windows, Linux, Hyper V, VMWare operating systems, data communications, storage array technologies, virtual operating environment, Azure/AWS IaaS services, data center services
• Experience with network technologies including network access control (NAC), Cisco, Palo Alto and IP management
• Experience with Endpoint, SCCM (patching platforms)
• Design, use case testing and deployment of emerging technologies
This is a permanent hybrid role located in downtown Toronto with an annual salary of $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 plus bonus and benefits.
